Zero Tolerance



To: Brennan Jr. Bears and Opposing Team's Players, Parents and Coaches:

  • All teams are responsible for the actions of their players, parents, team officials, and fans.
  • All individuals associated with the Brennan Jr. Bears shall conduct themselves in a proper manner at all times.
    • Improper conduct is defined as behavior deemed detrimental to the philosophy and objectives of the Brennan Jr. Bears, as well as any action which produces results detrimental to any team, individual player or official.
    • Players and spectators will direct all cheering for their own team and will no taunt, criticize, or jeer at other players. Badgering, name calling, or use of foul language by a coach, player or spectator, whether directed at an official, coach, player or spectator will not be tolerated.
    • Any coach/parent/guardian/spectator that attempts to cause physical injury or makes the threat thereof to any individual associated with the Brennan Jr. Bears or the teams and organizations they play shall be immediately suspended form the Brennan Jr. Bears activities for the remainder of the season with forfeiture of all fees.
  • Brennan Jr. Bears Zero Tolerance Procedures:
    • Game officials have sole authority in determining when violations of these rules have occurred and what the appropriate action is that should be taken.
    • The game will be stopped by officials when the coaches/parents/spectators displaying inappropriate and disruptive behavior interfere with other spectators or the game. The officials will identify violators to the coaches.
    • Violation of these rules will result in a warning to the coach followed by ejection of the offending person from the game. Once removed, play will resume. Lost time will not be replaced and violators may be subject to further disciplinary action by the Brennan Jr. Bears board of directors. Officials will assess appropriate penalties or fouls as required.
    • If, in the sole opinion of the officials, the situation cannot be remedied by removal of the offending persons, the game will be stopped and the and the offending team will forfeit.
